Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any previous dance experience?
No previous experience is required. All you need is the desire to learn something new.

Do I need to bring a partner?
You do not need to bring a partner. You will have ample opportunities to dance with different partners that are attending the classes.

What should I wear?
There are no particular clothing guidelines, except to wear comfortable, non-constricting clothing and shoes with a leather sole.

What opportunities do I have to practice outside of class?
Periodically at the end of the month, we have a “Theme Social”. These socials provide students an opportunity to come together and practice the dances they have learned. We not only do ballroom dancing, but line and hand dancing as well. Students really enjoy getting into the theme for each month and many dress accordingly. The socials are a lot of fun and we encourage all students and friends to attend these events!

Is there a fee to attend?
Yes. The fee schedule is as follows:

Membership Registration ($10)
Social ($8)
November & February Socials ($10)
